1st Kipping!

I got my 1st kipping pullup today! And then I did three more in a row! Whoohoo! It took me long enough!
It's the only thing I did today. I have been too sore from the squats during Murph on Monday. I finally got my timing.

5K on Thursday March 5th

38:14 running against the wind, mostly on the road, but some grass, beautiful day to run! Just cool enough to keep my jacket on and the sun was shining! I remembered my sunglasses and ipod! Perfect run!

This wore me out! Amazingly, the 5th round felt better than the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th- probably because I was in a groove- a slow groove, though. Sorry, David, for hitting you as I ran by on the 2nd round. I did not like you very much right then. :)

26:44 w/45# thrusters-so tired! I wanted to beat Kim's time of 23:05 and just couldn't do it! I felt a little dizzy during thrusters-I need to buckle down to the zone- I've been bad. I have actually gained 1 lb. during the contest!

Deadlift, Deck of Death

Deadlift- Today was busy- a good thing! But because my husband couldn't pay attention to me (boohoo), I did 10 in my 1st set with 95 lbs.- not so bad, but then I did 115 lbs.- 4 reps, when he realized what I was doing (I was not doing 3x3x3x3x3). So then I did 125 lbs.- 3 reps and again with a set of 2 reps. I don't know my reasoning at the end, except that I was trying to hurry while the two Sam's cried. Not the greatest of workout days for me, oh well.So I did 10x4x3x2. What in the world?!

Deck of Death- Got me! Much harder than I anticipated: 33:13! Although, I did have Sam who wanted to sit on my back during pushups, hug me during sit ups, and Sophie who "helped" turn the cards. I'm pretty sure I did it 10 minutes faster last time, although I didn't have the Jokers last time. Whatever! Right? It is a great workout!
